Convenience Innovation Awards

In 2008, NACDA launched the Convenience Innovation Awards (CIA); a platform for recognizing top product development in the convenience industry. The program provides a benchmark for leading innovation, recognizes top products in the industry and awards suppliers for outstanding research and development.

Why an Awards Program?

As an industry, the convenience channel is constantly evolving and needs innovation to grow and prosper. Supporting those who invest in this channel is very important to ensure the future health of the industry.

  • Recognize top new products in the industry
  • Provide a benchmark for leading innovation
  • Award suppliers for outstanding research and development
  • Increase corporate, brand and product awareness in the industry

Which products are eligible?

Products launched in 2015 that are warehouse delivered through wholesale-distributors and sold in the convenience industry may be eligible. Products in the following categories can be nominated; 1) Beverage; 2) Gum & Confectionery; 3) Chocolate; 4) Snack; 5) Better for you Beverage; 6) Better for you Snack; 7) General Merchandise; 8) Meals-on-the-Go.

Registration to the CIA program is included in your 2016 membership, with a limit of 2 products per category. Additional category entries are $500 per product. The non-member submission fee is $2,500 per entry.

What are the benefits?

Participating in the Convenience Innovation Awards program will provide a multitude of benefits from increased visibility and industry recognition but most importantly the winners from each category will be celebrated at the 2016 NACDA & CCSA National Convenience Industry Summit.
